Career Search database (30 directories compiled for over 800,000 employees nationwide)
Career Search, a constantly updated interactive database of nearly a million potential employers will be available for candidates to use in their job search efforts. The database is compiled from many of the nation's leading industry-specific directory publishers; the intuitive search interface and high-speed search engine make targeting employers a matter of a few mouse clicks.
The Transition Team Job Lead Developer will use the Career Search database to focus job lead search efforts in an area that best meets the criteria of the majority of affected employees. A broadcast letter will be sent to potential employers and followed up with phone calls to the targeted companies' human resources contacts.
Individual candidates may target potential employers in a specific location using a radius of miles from their home zip code, or if open to relocating, they may choose any area of the country. Specific industries as well as company size may be selected. Company information and contact names are listed to allow the candidate to personalize calls or letters to the company.
Internet bookmarks, reference materials about resumes, interviewing, job search for the
older worker, financial education, starting a business, directories, etc.
